About the company
G DATA is a German leader, also operating in the Polish market.
Founded in Bochum in 1985, the company developed the first antivirus
programme more than 20 years ago, making it the oldest antivirus
software manufacturer in the world.
The challenges
Our main mission in cooperation with G DATA was to reach various
target groups – from the youngest users of mobile and electronic
devices to people who have been using computer equipment for many
years as individuals and company representatives. Another objective
was to increase brand awareness and sales as well as to carry out
educational activities aimed at spreading knowledge about online
security. Our job was also to position the client in the market as
the industry leader by means of press releases based on trends and
statistics.
The solutions
The “Click Safely” campaign conducted by our agency is a nationwide
educational initiative. It was addressed to the youngest audience
using mobile devices and the Internet. Two editions (in 2017 and
2018) were held and ended with a competition. During the first
edition, we encouraged 89 schools to take part. The conducted
classes deepened the knowledge of more than 1300 children in the
field of online security. By creating visual competition entries,
the participants strengthened the newly acquired knowledge and
proposed solutions that would actually help them to protect
themselves in the event of a threat. The agency then conducted a
roadshow event in 2017, which took place in four largest cities in
Poland – Wrocław, Poznań, Katowice and Warsaw. The manufacturer’s
representatives raised the subject of protecting company networks of
various sizes. They presented the available forms of cooperation
with partners and discussed the latest trends in dealing with
threats. The agency supported G DATA in organising the event by
helping with its preparation, contact with the media and graphic
design.
FLPR Group also took care of creative promotional product distribution, which took the form of a first-aid kit. It contained such elements as a powerbank, anti-stress gadget, mug, as well as a code for the anti-virus software license. These packages were sent to journalists, editors and influencers. Thanks to this form of promotion and the previously organised events, the agency managed to raise awareness and inspire trust among people using the G DATA software.
